Neptune Pacific is proudly maintaining its commitment to the South Pacific through its continued sponsorship of the 2026 Fiji New Zealand and New Zealand Fiji Business Councils’ (FNZBC) joint conference.
This year’s annual FNZBC conference is being held across 18 and 19 June in Denarau Island, Fiji, bringing together government ministers, diplomats, and business leaders under the banner of one shared vision for both island nations.
Rolf Rasmussen, Neptune Pacific Managing Director of Commercial and Sales, highlights the importance of their longstanding duavata (partnership) with Fiji and New Zealand as a leading shipping and logistics provider.
“Both Fiji and New Zealand are at the heart of our South Pacific operations and make up a significant proportion of our workforce across our Neptune Pacific and Transam locations respectively.
“For us, sponsoring this event means enabling opportunities for trade relationships and investment, encouraging closer collaboration, and creating new opportunities for local business. It is just one example of how we continue to invest in the futures of Fiji and New Zealand.”
This year is also marked by a major philanthropic milestone, with progress well underway at the FIJI Water and Neptune Pacific Career Centre, a Maritime and Manufacturing Training Facility based in Suva, Fiji, being managed in partnership with Fiji National University (FNU).
Carol Watkins, Director of the FIJI Water and Neptune Pacific Career Centre, will be present at the FNZBC conference to speak about the shared investment in national workforce development, alongside Neptune Pacific’s sister company FIJI Water.
“Our new Fiji Water and Neptune Pacific Career Centre is progressing well. We are excited to be looking ahead to public enrolment for the 2027 academic year, following the completion of our 2026 preliminary training,” says Ms. Watkins.
“With a focus on workforce readiness, this centre is already beginning to provide maritime and manufacturing employers with a skilled stream of talent that aligns with their evolving industry needs. This will directly support Fiji’s economic growth by improving productivity, creating jobs, and advancing technical expertise through hands-on experience with cutting-edge training equipment.”
Neptune Pacific’s sponsorship of the FNZBC conference and significant investment in local capability, continues to support trade-driven economic growth for the South Pacific.
