The Neptune Pacific Direct Line (NPDL) New Zealand team is excited to announce several service upgrades for Samoa, American Samoa, and Tongan markets.

We are committed to restoring our schedule reliability and have planned to replace the Southern Trader with the Southern Moana loading Auckland on the 8th of April. The Moana is 10 years younger and will commence service with a fresh crew on board. Following on in July, and in preparation for the peak season, we will replace her with our Capitaine Dampier which will be fresh out of dry dock and provide a 30% increase in capacity on this trade.

As per previous communication, the ports of Auckland remain severely congested. We expect improvements by mid-year and a resumption of a reliable scheduling between Auckland and Apia/ Pago operating on an 18-day service frequency.

For Tonga from New Zealand, starting in April we will have a service every 9 days. We trust that the increased frequency will support trade growth by improved distribution and supply chain opportunities. For the trade between Fiji and Apia, Pago we are excited to announce our new service with our Southern Pearl which will call Suva/ Lautoka/ Funafuti/ Apia/Pago Wallis/ Futuna and Suva every 21 days.

For cargo from Fiji to Tonga, we offer a weekly sailing from Fiji and will relay cargo in Auckland to our vessels calling Tonga. This significantly increase the number of sailing between Fiji and Tonga.

As a reminder, we offer weekly connections from Asia, Australia and South America, relaying cargo over our hub ports in Auckland and/or Fiji to the Eastern Pacific markets mentioned above. To find the vessel that suits your timing, please refer to our website, www.npdl.co.nz
